Prokriti Songrokkhon – meaning protection of the mother nature, was founded in 2002 by a citizen group concerned about the environmental degradation causing harm to human health, agriculture production and air pollution. It is duly registered with the Department of Social Service and the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Government of Bangladesh. Since it’s inception it has been striving for improvement of environmental sanitation, conservation of bio-diversity, promotion of clean energy, responding emergency caused by natural disaster and addressing gender-based violence.
